Centera Backup & Replication
Since SDR's primary in-house fixed content storage is EMC Centera Compliance Edition, we offer existing EMC Centera customers some unique backup and replication services. The main service is backup from their existing primary Centera to the SDR secondary Centera by using the EMC asynchronous data replication software. If an existing Centera customer wants a DR solution they would normally have to purchase a secondary Centera and deploy it at an alternate geographic location. Using the SDR service, a second copy of the data can be held on our secondary Centera at a fraction of the cost. In the event of a Disaster the customer would simply fail-over their IT infrastructure to the designated DR site and then point to the SDR Centera.
In addition SDR can serve as the primary Centera for existing Assentor customers or customers of other products supporting Centera. SDR can serve as your remote Centera, supporting your compliance system saving you the expense of a Centera today.
